4 Year-old Wesley Qualifies for USASA Nationals in Slopestyle and Halfpipe in Under 8 Division

Posted in Uncategorized2 Comments

Wesley came back from breaking his arm the first day of the season to take first place in the Tyrol Basin USASA Regional Series in Slopestyle and Halfpipe in the under 8 division.  He is headed out to Colorado for a month to train with the Breckenridge freestyle team and compete in USASA Nationals, along with his older brother, Devin, who won Regionals in Boardercross and Giant Slalom.  Some of Wesley’s moves during competition included flipping over a feature that was too large for him to jump over, and executing a 720 spin at the top of the halfpipe on the wall.  He wore a cast on his arm during comps, but the cast has since been removed.  Wish him luck as he attends his first USASA Nationals!
